As of 9:06 p.m., Beto O’Rourke is winning over incumbent Ted Cruz at 66.01 percent in Dallas County, though only one precinct has reported their results. This is according to the office of the Secretary of State Rolando Pablos.

Meanwhile, the Texas Organizing Project maintains a prominent role at tonight’s event at the Magnolia Hotel with Democratic candidate Colin Allred, who is running for the 32nd congressional district. The Texas Organizing Project canvased for Beto O’Rourke until the very last minute, as reported by Daily Campus reporter Michelle Aslam.

The Texas Organizing Project’s mission is to organize black and latino communities for voting. Its greatest concerns are healthcare, Texas’ high school graduation rate, and Texas’ poverty rate.
