SMU’s Maguire Center for Ethics Design Team will hold a campus-wide mock election Wednesday near the West Bridge of Hughes-Trigg.
The election is open to all SMU students, faculty and staff. The polls will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Voters can cast a ballot for their favorite presidential candidate.
Democratic candidates include Sens. Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. Republican candidates include former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee, Sen. John McCain and Rep. Ron Paul.
The Cary M. Maguire Center for Ethics and Public Responsibility was founded in 1995 with a $2.5 million endowment from Cary M. Maguire.
The Center strives to “attend to the moral quandaries and controversies that beset our common life,” although it is not an advocate group according to its Web site.
