Volleyball Update

The Mustang’s volleyball team (13-8 overall, 5-3 in American Athletic Conference) continues to impress in the first season of AAC play, and will look to do so again as they square off at home against Houston this Friday.

Coming off a dominant 3-0 sweep against the University of Central Florida, SMU was able to end a brief two-match losing streak in Dedman Center Sunday.

It was an impressive defensive outing for the team, as they were able to tally 10 blocks versus the Knights, while also racking up 48 digs.

Sophomore Cailin Bula led the charged attack for SMU with a game-high 12 kills, while her running mate Caroline Young finished in double-digits as well with 10.

The Cougars are 13-10 with the same record in conference play as SMU, meaning whoever wins this game will be one step closer to claiming AAC superiority.
