SMU is playing in the Hawaii Bowl against the Fresno State Bulldogs. SMU had a powerful back field with Garrett Gilbert at quarterback and Zach Line at running back, both who will go on to play in the NFL. The Mustangs blow out the Bulldogs 43-10, and this marks the last time the Mustangs have competed in a bowl game.

The 2016 Mustangs are in consideration for the Big 12 conference, and an upset win over the 23rd ranked Baylor Bears would have the Mustangs look like a standout choice for the conference. The game kicks of Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
