Men’s basketball falls short in first round

The SMU men’s basketball team fell short to 56-75 against Colorado State in the first round of the Dick’s Sporting Goods NIT Tip-Off Monday night.

SMU freshman Jalen Jones scored 16 points for the Mustangs. Jeremiah Samarrippas trailed behind him adding 11 points and London Giles not far behind contributing 10 points.

The Mustangs go back in action on Tuesday facing the loser of the Stanford-Fresno State game. Tip-off is still to be determined for both games.
