“The Magic Flute 2.0” is the Meadows Lyric Theatre’s modern twist on Mozart’s “The Magic Flute.” Starring the talented singers and cast at Meadows, the opera’s opening night is set for Thursday, March 5. The performance takes place in modern times and tells the story of Tamino and his need to save his lover Pamina from the evil wellness instructor Sarastro with the help of his friend Papageno (who just so happens to own the best fried chicken joint in town).
The opera will be performed on March 5, 6, 7 and 8 and is open to the public. You can buy tickets in person at the Meadows Box Office or online at smu.universitytickets.com.
