The SMU track and field team hits the road this weekend to compete in the Texas A&M Invitational in College Station. Sophomore track star, Silje Fjortoft will be competing in her first indoor mile as she looks to keep improving into conference play Feb. 27. “We are looking for them to have fun this weekend,” said Coach Dave Wollman. “Improving in what you are doing individually reflects on the team as a whole.”Senior distance runner Rachael Forish is heading into the event with some confidence. Forish and teammate Fjortoft both placed in the top 10 in the 5,000-meter run while also setting new personal bests at the University of Washington Feb. 1. “My team is just looking to stay healthy and compete hard,” said Wollman.
