The basketball coaching clinic scheduled for Oct. 4 has been cancelled after the NCAA’s sanctions against the SMU men’s basketball program were announced Tuesday.
The sanctions will keep the Mustangs out of the 2016 postseason and Head Coach Larry Brown off the court for nine games in the regular season. Brown was set to host the clinic on Sunday.
The clinic’s Twitter account posted a tweet about the cancellation, confirming that those pre-registered will be refunded. The press release and flyer for the event have been removed from the men’s basketball website.
