The SMU Meadows Brown Bag Dance Series will be held during the day from Monday, March 5 to Friday, March 9 in the Bob Hope Theatre Lobby in the Owen Arts Center.
The Brown Bag Dance Series is put on by the SMU Division of Dance and features performances of student-choreographed works in multiple genres, including ballet, modern, jazz, tap and hip-hop. Students must go through a two-step audition process to get into the show.
The event is more intimate than other SMU Meadows dance performances because it is held in the Bob Hope Theatre Lobby. A dance floor is put down in the lobby, and audience members can sit on the edge of the dance floor with their lunches to enjoy the performance.
The event is free and open to the public, and many local elementary and middle schools take field trips to see the show.
Performances are held at 12 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday.
