I generally get along with professors. But I do have one complaint, inspired by recent events: when a professor requires that students come in for class other than the assigned period.
This semester, I registered for a class at 11 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, only to find out that I am expected to come in regularly at 8 a.m. for discussion classes.
Funny thing: if I wanted to wake up for an 8 a.m. class, I would have signed up for an 8 a.m. class.
Professors need to stick with the assigned class period, or at the very least make it evident during the registration process that additional classes will be mandatory outside of the stated period.
