With Thanksgiving now slowly drifting into the past and our waistlines getting back to their original size, the next section of the holiday season is quickly approaching. While everyone has their own special traditions, something that always can be found bringing some holiday cheer is the music of the season. Here are some recent releases that can help bring in the festivities.
Christmas With the Rat Pack – The Rat Pack: A timeless classic getting a re-release on iTunes this December, you can never go wrong with The Rat Pack. The crooning of Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr. and Dean Martin never disappoints and this album provides the perfect background for any holiday party or just an easy listen at home by the fire.
Christmas With Friends – Jason Manns: Another easy listening album that features some beautiful harmonization and smooth acoustical renditions, Jason Manns was able to get the best out of himself and the many cameos that are featured along with him. While it’s a great listen at any occasion, Christmas With Friends is usually better as its title suggests; with the people you care about most.
Joe Perry’s Merry Christmas – Joe Perry: A more up-tempo album than the others, the lead guitarist for Aerosmith has crafted an EP that is able to blend his rock and roll flair with some wonderful background instrumentals in this new holiday release. While it might not appeal to everyone, the fun and boisterous sound of Joe Perry’s latest musical venture is a great time and can be the perfect contribution to any seasonal get together.
