The SMU men’s golf team finished 10th (888) at the BaylorInvitational Tuesday in Waco, TX.
First-year Colt Knost fired a final round 75 and tied withteammate Jerad Harklau for 24th place. LSU began the day one strokebehind to win the Baylor Invite with an 868.
Junior Scott Abbott and first-year Rory Smith finished tied for40th place with a 225 for the tournament. Abbott posted a finalround 75 on the par 72, 7,275-yard track. Smith finished with afinal round of 78.
Sophomore Will Dodson shot a team best third-round score of 74to rebound after struggling at the tournament on Monday. Dodsonfinished with a 231 for the tournament and tied for 65th place.
SMU hits the road next week to take part in the WindonInvitational in Chicago, Ill. on Oct. 6-7.
The Mustangs will return from Illinois to host the StonebridgeInvitational in McKinney on Oct. 13-14.
