The spirit of Bob Marley lives on

The Bob Marley Festival held this past weekend at Artist’s Square featured a variety of vendors selling objects associated with the late Bob Marley.

An assortment of incense, glass blown pipes, wooden sandals, reggae CDs and typical hippie-style clothing and hats were some of the most notable items sold at the festival.

The festival featured multiple bands that presented their own material as well as covering some of Marley’s personal titles.

One title covered by D.R.U.M., “No Woman No Cry” very well brought about the sentiments Marley’s reggae so frequently evoked.

Various radio stations were also present to show their love of Marley. The Green Party, who will be present on campus later this semester, attended to advocate their missions and political candidates running in the upcoming elections.

Although none of Marley’s family members were able to attend the festival, there did surmise a feeling that emulated the legendary artist.
