With kickoff for the next Mustang football game a mere five daysaway, many students are wondering how they are going to make theroad trip to Waco.
Although only 90 miles south, the drive there and back can stillbe a burden. But now there is hope for these Mustang faithful.
The new Sports Management Advisory Committee has arranged apackage deal including admission to the game and transportation bycharter buses.
The package deal runs for $33 dollars and can be purchased atthe Hughes-Trigg Student Center or in the Umphrey-Lee Dining Centertoday and Wednesday. Tickets just for the game can also bepurchased separately for $23.
“Our objective is to get as many fans to Waco as possible, and I think that a bus trip and ticket sales on campus is a greatway to do that,” committee chairman Adam Dicus said.
The committee, which formed last spring, consists of studentsfrom various on-campus groups and organizations.
The members said that their main goal is to increase studentawareness and support for Mustang athletic events. The Baylor roadtrip will be the first major event that the committee willsponsor.
Still, many Mustang fans will chose to make the drive.
“I think this will be the best game of the year,”junior Rachel Black said. “There’s two cars full of myfriends going down there for the game.”
After a week off, many Mustang fans are looking forward towatching the Ponies get back on track against a Big 12 opponent. The game kicks off at 6 p.m. Saturday night in Waco.
